The Assessing Low Carbon Transition Initiative methodology aims to assess the degree to which organizations’ energy-climate strategies of organizations are in alignment with the objectives of the Paris Agreement;
- By 2100, limit global warming to well below 2°Cabove pre-industrial levels and, if possible, seek to continue efforts to limit the rise in temperatures to 1.5°C
- Limit, as much as possible, the use of fossil fuels
- Achieve carbon neutrality as soon as possible
The ACT initiative aims to develop sectoral approaches for organizations which will be shared globally and be resolutely oriented towards the future.
In collaboration with ADEME and CDP , and with the support of the French Deposits and Consignments Fund , the ABC has been committed, since COP 21 (2015 United National Climate Change Conference), to contributing to the objectives of the international ACT project.
